Absolutely awesome cafe on Bangor HIgh Street. Fantastic healthy and homemade food and gorgeous treats. Family owned from 1934. Nick and Clare are both awesome people. Please come and visit this fabulous cafe. I will be here with my beautiful wife Jo-Anna next time we're in Bangor. Please support this fantastic local business

Lovely little Cafe situated on the middle of Bangor high street. I've been quite a few times now for their Italian Gelato and it never fails to hit the spot, always delicious and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a stop off in sunny weather!

The staff are fantastic, very polite and kind. We had the best pizza we've had in Bangor here, along with great coffees and lovely ice-cream. A brilliant little cafe, honestly couldn't ask for better quality food or service.

Delicious food, in a clean and friendly cafe, who welcomed us and our dog. Having eaten lunch we went back again later for coffee/tea, and took away some of their divine looking honemade cakes. We would highly recommend

I Never normally leave reviews but as Bangor high street is such a sad sight nowadays I believe small businesses such as this one needs to be kept open! I came here with my dad on my lunch hour today for the first time. I have never been greeted with such good service as I had today by the lovely waitress! We both had the homemade pizzas, (I was a bit skeptical as I don’t normally like pizza) but this was the best pizza I’d ever had! And the price for what it was, was amazing! Lovely vibe and a real feel of community! Highly recommend this place if your ever on the high street or visiting!

Went for a late lunch this afternoon, had the hunters chicken toastie with chips and coleslaw. Was very tasty and I enjoyed every bite my partner had the steak pie chips, peas and gravy and said it was also lovely. Bought some of the homemade Viennese whirls to take away aswell. Will definitely be back and I highly recommend this cafe

Absolute gem of a cafe. Lovely staff and spotless. The food is fantastic and especially the GLUTEN FREE cakes & pizzas! YES! You heard that right! I ordered a gluten-free Victoria sponge with whipped cream for my husband's birthday & it was the best cake I've ever eaten, and I'm not coeliac, my husband is. You genuinely wouldn't know the difference. I can't recommend them enough. I'll be back to try the gluten-free pizza, and I can't wait. Thank you, Penguin Cafe and especially Nick for being so talented a baker.
